Be the main character

Be the Main Character dives into not only the university’s culture, but Charlotte’s culture as a whole and what it means to be the “main character” in your story. Between a photoshoot designated to highlighting your own beauty and confidence (In the Spotlight, page 36) and an eye opening interview with the drag queens of Charlotte (Drag Queen Scene, page 76), we feel the confidence exuding from the models and can feel the power they hold. That’s what being a main character is all about—owning your power and making your life the way you want it to be.

As part of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte’s Student Niner Media, Midas Magazine focuses on the four pillars of artistry, culture, identity and lifestyle. Midas serves as a place for students to share their voices with not just the community at UNC Charlotte, but the whole surrounding community.
