What is Color?
Is it just what our eye sees when we open them, or does it have a deeper connection to our emotions? When we’re young, red is associated with anger, but as we grow up we also associate that with love, just as blue is used to represent both sadness and serenity. Pandora’s Box explores not just the meaning of color in our everyday lives through television and society (As Seen on TV, pages 20–23), but how the meaning of colors change and evolve as we get older (Primary Years, page 9, 25, 49 & 59).
As part of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte’s Student Niner Media, Midas Magazine focuses on the four pillars of artistry, culture, identity and lifestyle. Midas serves as a place for students to share their voices with not just the community at UNC Charlotte, but the whole surrounding community.
