FIVExFIVE
This military term is used to let people know they’re being heard loud and clear. Many men don’t reach out for help in fear of not being heard, being seen as weak, and feeling isolated. FIVExFIVE is a campaign to remind men that they are not alone, they are safe, they are brave, they are strong, that they are heard, and most importantly, that help is here.
ONE IN THREE
That’s how many men in North Carolina will experience some form of domestic abuse in their lifetime. There’s thousands of resources available for women who experience abuse, but very few for men.
It’s time we change that.

a welcome care package for men
Not everyone has a chance to get essential items before they flee danger. This welcome box is given to men who go to shelters seeking help and contains essential items that victims might need during their stay.
LOGO
The logo is comprised of twenty-five pieces, with the larger grey piece representing the victims and the blue pieces representing the supporting community.
COLOR PALETTE
The blues in the color palette evoke feelings of calmness while the reddish browns remind victims they are strong and brave.
Products for male dominated spaces
Gyms and bars are two spaces that are typically dominated by men, so the advertisements are catered to those spaces. Scanning the QR code takes you to a website with resources specific for male victims.
Gym posters
People go to the gym to get stronger, so the poster uses a tagline emphasizing the victims strength and bravery, battling the idea that getting help is weak.
COASTERS
Coasters are meant to sit underneath drinks, rather than to picked up and analyzed, so they have a large, quick statistic to catch the viewers attention, encouraging them to read more.
